Exciting Opportunity for West Central CEO Students!
The West Central CEO Program, part of the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship, recently participated in an incredible workshop: “How to Craft a 30-Second Pitch,” led by entrepreneur and business professor Doug Villhard.
This hands-on experience gave our student entrepreneurs the tools they need to confidently introduce their businesses, including:
✅ The 5 essential components of a winning pitch
✅ A look at the official judging rubric for the upcoming CEO National Pitch Competition
✅ Real examples of standout pitches in action
✅ LIVE feedback to help students refine their pitches in real time
Each West Central CEO student will now develop their own 30-second video pitch to compete against CEO students from across the nation — with a chance to win cash prizes and national recognition!
Why is this important?
Learning how to pitch isn’t just for competitions — it’s a lifelong skill. Whether presenting to potential customers, investors, or partners, mastering the art of a clear, confident pitch helps these students stand out in the business world.
Special thanks to Doug Villhard, Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurship at Washington University in St. Louis, for sharing his expertise and helping our students sharpen their entrepreneurial skills!
We’re proud of our West Central CEO students and can’t wait to see them shine on the national stage.
Stay tuned for updates and cheer them on!
