๐ŸŒŸ Student Testimonials: $5 to $100 Project ๐ŸŒŸ

1. Cake Pops
What was your business?
"I sold cake pops to employees at Nutrien Ag Solutions in Benson, employees at Jennie-O in Willmar, and teachers at my school. I took orders at Nutrien and school, made them the night before, and sent any extras with my mom to Jennie-O. My target audience included parents, teachers, and adults."

What went well?
"I received great feedback, and nobody turned me down when I asked. I even had people approach me to place orders!"

What were missed opportunities?
"I missed out on selling to students because I focused on taking pre-orders."

โ€” Courtney Fernholz

2. Interior Auto Detailing
What was your business?
"I started a fully interior auto detailing service. I sponsored myself and researched thoroughly before launching."

What went well?
"My research helped me succeed, and talking to people about my business got my name out there. Some even shared my info on Facebook pages like Revitalizing Renville and gave me marketing tips."

What were missed opportunities?
"My timing was offโ€”many people already had clean cars or used someone elseโ€™s service. This was one of my biggest challenges."

โ€” Dylan Cochran, Nov 15

3. Chocolate Chip Cookies
What was your business?
"I baked and sold chocolate chip cookies at school. I let students know the day before so they could bring money, and my first batch sold out in ten minutes!"

What went well?
"The quick sales were fantastic! I made $67 from just one batch."

What were missed opportunities?
"I didnโ€™t market to younger kids, as we donโ€™t interact much with them at school."

โ€” Grayson Ahrenholz, Nov 15
